The Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA), Government of India will identify, evaluate, recognise and document best practices related to tribal affairs from across India. Such best practices are identified and documented for the following reasons:
- For others to take note of best practices and learn from.
- To help replicate and scale.
- To create an institutional memory of what works, and lessons learnt.
- To provide field research-based inputs.
- To create and encourage role models that provide a reference point.
- To create material that may be usable for Information, Communication and Education.
- To encourage research in the domain of tribal affairs.

About Us
It identifies and documents best practices in the area of tribal welfare and development through a nomination based research, assessment and documentation methodology. The documentation process follows an independent research methodology which is distinctive in its approach. The research based case studies of well-performing outcome based projects are produced.
