K Dikila grew up in a large family with eight siblings, where most of their livelihood was dependent on agriculture. Despite the financial challenges, she was determined to pursue her education. She completed her undergraduate studies at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur, and her master’s at NIT Sikkim.


Ministry of Tribal Affairs Scholarship

In 2022, K Dikila was awarded the National Overseas Scholarship for the year 2022-2023 by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. She belongs to the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), with her Maram tribe listed as one such group.
