Characterised by its high tribal population and limited livelihood opportunities, women in this region traditionally had minimal economic or public engagement. Recognising this entrenched inequality, RGAVP initiated a transformational programme under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) to empower women socially and economically.
